Ranges

IRPC offers a variety of ranges for your shooting activity. Whether you are looking for a little target practice or some friendly competition, IRPC offers it all. Click the links below to see a map showing where the range is located and to get more detailed information about each range. There is map of the range at the bottom of this page as well.

.22 Range

Our .22 range is for exclusive use of .22 caliber weapons ONLY. Like our other ranges, the .22 Range is equipped with shooing benches and a variety of metal gongs.

ALL shooters must stay a MINIMUM of 25 yards from all targets. All of our pistol and rifle ranges have specific information posted regarding caliber size limits and minimum shooting distances. Please read and follow posted rules.

100 Yard Rifle Range

Our 100 Yard Range is equipped with 12 stations and benches (8 covered and 4 open). The range has additional berms on the West side for 25-yard and 50-yard sight-in. There are a variety of targets to shoot on the 100 yard range, including metal gongs.

PLEASE - No shotguns on wooden target boards.

During our May 2018 Meeting funds were allocated to accommodate our disabled members and/or guests (including wheelchair parking and shooting station). Every November prior to WI Deer Rifle season, we hold "Public Sight-in Days." Exact schedule can be found under our Events section or on our Range Schedule available on the forms page.

Archery Ranges

Our "NEW" Walk-through 3D Archery Range has 15 3D stations including some with multiple targets ranging from 10 yards to 60 yards.  The 3D range is located at the end of the dirt road beginning at the entrance gate (right next to the practice trap - follow the signs).  The first 9 targets has you meander through the trees on a marked path providing challenging shots for all levels of shooters.  The remainder of the targets are spread across the open field and can bee seen on the right as you approach the start.  Most of the open field is kept natural to resemble what you might see if you were actually out hunting; however, the lanes leading to the target for arrow retrieval, etc. are mowed.

Our existing Archery Range is now referred to as the Archery Sight-in Range. The grass is well groomed and cut short and each target has been equipped with rubber back-ups to help reduce arrow loss.  All the old targets have been replaced with new targets, including one target specifically designed for crossbows.  We also feature a raised platform for bowmen to sight their bows for tree stand and downhill situations (or just for fun).

Archery is one of the most popular stations during our annual "Family Days" which takes place every August. We have 2 Ranges set-up during Family Days (Adult and Child). Both of our Archery Ranges have had upgrades with improved 3D targets.

In Addition, IRPC also participates in the Annual Archery Event with 4-H at Hunt Hill.

Be sure to watch our Events page for updates.

Auxiliary Range

The Auxiliary Range has shooting stations positioned at 100/200/300 yards. Range use is available to members during open hours and is used as a back-up for our 100 yard range during Trap/Skeet league shoots (including over crowding or special events).

PLEASE - No shotguns or pistols.

We also have a 400/500/600 yard shooting stations; HOWEVER, it’s use is for experienced marksmen ONLY. Permission must be obtained prior to use.

All of our pistol and rifle ranges have specific information posted regarding caliber size limits and minimum shooting distances. Please read and follow posted rules.

Large Pistol Range

IRPC’s Large Pistol Range is for ALL pistols greater than .22 caliber. Like our .22 range, the Large Pistol Range is also equipped with shooing benches and a variety of metal gongs. ALL shooters must stay a MINIMUM of 25 yards from all targets.

Each year, our club members work together to develop new shoots and events. Items for discussion have been a 3 gun shoot, conceal and carry practice shoot, women’s shooting clinic, etc. As a result of these discussions and member input, IRPC as added Conceal and Carry classes and Women's Shooting Clinic as regular events to our schedule.
