Women's Only Firearms Familiarization Class

2016 Classes Held - 2017 will be similar, but may have some changes/updates not listed below.  This is being provided for your information and interest in the event.


The IRPC is holding a Handgun Familiarization Class for interested females, held on Saturday, April 30 - 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for revolvers, and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for semi-automatics. Attendees are responsible for their own revolver or semi-automatics, holster, 50 rounds of ammunition (22 caliber preferred but not required), and EYE and EAR PROTECTION REQUIRED!


Classes will be limited to 10 per class, so register early! There is no cost to the class, however, a free will offering would be appreciated. If you are interested in watching, you may come along without a weapon. Classes will be held at the IRPC range. Reserve a spot by calling either Don Esser at 715-635-2078715-635-2078 or Terri Reiter at 715-416-2995715-416-2995. If enough interest, there will be a fall session.


Familiarization will include: range safety, parts of the handgun, proper handling, grip, breathing, sighting and trigger squeeze. Distance will be about 21 feet. No minimum score to pass.
